What you need to know

You can apply to come to the UK if you are the family member of a British citizen who has been living and exercising their treaty rights in a member state and now wishes to return to the UK.

A family member can be defined as:

Your spouse (husband or wife) or civil partner
Your parent or grandparent (or their spouse or civil partner) – you must also be under 21 years old or dependent on them
Your child or grandchild (or their spouse or civil partner) – you must be dependent on them
A person who is adopted and that adoption is recognised in UK Law

If you have previously applied for and were granted a Surinder Singh Residence Card this will no longer be valid after 30^th June 2021 and you will need to apply under the EU Settlement Scheme in order to continue to live in the UK.
